In addition to feeling more realistic and human-like, I like that they have the confirm button in bot games and live games, whereas Chess.com only has it in live games.

I also learned that if you are an Amazon Prime member, you get one free sub (subscription) on Twitch, which a lot of upper echelon players use to stream live games. I gifted my first month’s sub to International Master (IM) John Bartholomew, who previously founded Chessable and is a co-founder of Chessiverse. Mahalo, John, for the excellent learning platforms!
I also joined the Big Island Chess Club, which seems to operate mostly online these days. A tournament is happening today (9/26/2026). I logged in and entered, but after registering and waiting several minutes no one challenged me, so I’m going to try again later.
