Hey Dave, do the Mets still have a philosophy, or have they just adopted the Yankees’ ‘non-philosophy’ of buying up all the talent in sight? In the past couple of weeks they’ve picked up Mo Vaughn, Roger Cedeno, and Robbie Alomar, and are pursuing Juan Gonzalez.
Vaughn says he’s been working out and has proclaimed himself fit. From the looks of this picture the only running he’s been doing is from the limo to the pizza shop front door. Time to beef up the suspension on the team bus.
Normally I don’t give much thought to baseball, but enjoy Dave’s rants on philosophy and ‘teams that matter.’
