Dave pointed to a story on the New York Times website about the fight between Sharman Networks, the creators of Kazaa, and programmers who created Kazaa Lite, which allows users to share files on the Kazaa network without seeing the ads that Sharman Networks inserts to generate income. I tried to get an AIM (AOL Instant Messaging) account today using my name (keoladonaghy) as a screen name. Much to my surprise I found that that screen name had already been registered by someone. I find it difficult to believe that there is another Keola Donaghy out there, so if you have ever gotten Instant Messages from someone using my name, let me know. It wasn’t me.
