It had to happen eventually, just had to put my head down and do it: http://poe.olelo.hawaii.edu/keola/ Po’e ‘Olelo Hawai’i literally means “Hawaiian language speakers”; an appropriate domain name as I’ve ever seen.

It had to happen eventually, just had to put my head down and do it: http://poe.olelo.hawaii.edu/keola/ Po’e ‘Olelo Hawai’i literally means “Hawaiian language speakers”; an appropriate domain name as I’ve ever seen. I’m about 90% of the way through localizing Manila into Hawaiian. A lot of little things to fix (like the CSS in all of the themes), but I’m not going to stop until it’s done. We’re going to use this for our Hawaiian medium schools, teachers and students statewide. That page pointed to above is one filtered before it is rendered to a static server, to take advantage…

I guess we have to put up with two more years of Georgie Porgie blaming Clinton for his own ineptitude .

I guess we have to put up with two more years of Georgie Porgie blaming Clinton for his own ineptitude. I’m just hoping two years doesn’t stretch to six. Bush has been saying some nasty stuff about the boys he used to hang out with in the rich CEO’s club. The laugh will be on him when he’s hanging out with them again in a place where you don’t talk about hanging.

Dishing It Out!

I was so stoked this past weekend to find that DishNetwork has added Honolulu’s local network affiliates to their programming packages, particularly with the election season kicking into high gear. We have no cable in our neighborhood and the quality of the broadcast stations in our area sucks. Thanks, Charlie!

My wife and been back from Ireland for two weeks now, and things are slowly returning to normal. I’ve cleaned up my weblog from the trip (sorry, it’s in Hawaiian only), and there are pictures from the trip available in the navigation column below the calendar. They’re marked “Ki’i,” and are followed by the name of the area where we took them, either Dublin, Glen Colm Cille, or Sligo. I’m writing an article for our university newspaper on the trip, and will post it here when it’s completed. I will now try to resume normally blogging activities, whatever that means.…
